In Honor of "Sam"
Sam’s Oyster Bar is more than a name— it’s a tribute to a man who lived life with humor, heart, and a love for the simple joys in life.
Born in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, “Sam” was a lifelong sports fan. Whether he was swinging a bat, casting a line, or lining up a putt on the golf course, he believed life was meant to be enjoyed outdoors and shared with good company.
Sam was known for his unmistakable personality— quick with a laugh, a little mischievous, never took life too seriously, and always welcomed a perfectly made, Sam’s way, Manhattan.
He loved Fort Walton Beach and brought his family here for 12 consecutive years for Spring Break. He appreciated, good food, great times, and a place where people could gather, relax, and feel at home— values that live on inside these walls.
He always had a dream of opening an oyster bar with his two sons, and this was the destination. Sam’s Oyster Bar will carry his spirit forward every day:
"Come as strangers, leave as friends... and don't forget to laugh along the way".
